The bubbly,
15-year-old "Gidget," made popular in movies by a variety
of young actresses, returns to television in the form of Sally
Field as the former ABC-TV series begins daily appearances on
WSYR-TV in color at 4:30 p.m., replacing Hazel. Don Porter plays
her father with Betty Connor as her married sister "Anne"
and Peter Duel as her brother-in-law, a student psychiatrist
who practices on "Gidget."
